\buildrel ... \over ... - Used to draw REL.

SYNOPSIS

{ \buildrel <subformula> \over #1 }

DESCRIPTION

The result is of class REL (binary relation), so it has the spacing of a relation.

EXAMPLE

1. \buildrel \alpha\beta \over \longrightarrow 

   $ \buildrel \alpha\beta \over \longrightarrow $

2. \buildrel \rm def \over {:=} 

   $ \buildrel \rm def \over {:=} $
